What your agent can see

What your agent can see

The scopes an agent can be granted on the consent screen, which are on by default, and what each one covers.

Every tool on the MCP server sits under a scope, and a connection can only call tools whose scope it was granted. You grant scopes on the consent screen when you connect a client, and you can grant different scopes to different clients. A connection never has more access than the person who granted it.

Standard access, on by default

ScopeCovers
read:projectsThe projects you can see, their context, activity, brief, knowledge and summaries
read:drawingsThe drawing register, revisions, markups, sheet files and what a CAD file holds
read:specificationsSpecifications and their extracted text
read:programmeProgramme tasks and the critical path
read:communicationsCorrespondence and threads
read:rfisRequests for information
read:submittalsSubmittals and their files
read:ramsRisk assessments and method statements
read:site-managementSite diary, photos, inspections and snags
read:tender-packagesTender packages, invitees and returns, without pricing detail

read:portfolioThe cash position and purchase ledger across all projects, at header level
read:analyticsCost reports and dashboards
read:settingsCompany users, contacts and cost codes

Advanced, off by default

These are commercially sensitive or change your data. They sit under their own heading on the consent screen and need a deliberate tick.

ScopeCovers
read:financial-detailCVR, margin, internal valuations, application line items and variation build-ups
read:pricingTender pricing, adjudication, bid comparison, contract pricing and cost-code breakdowns
read:purchase-ledgerSupplier commitments and invoices in detail
write:libraryCreate and update rate books, prelim books, staff books, pricing schedules and templates
write:projectsStage and commit changes to a project's context
write:documentsStage and commit document versions
write:contactsCreate company contacts
write:pricingWrite main contract pricing
write:purchase-ledgerRecord costs and commitments and amend them
invoke:agentAsk the in-app assistant a question, billed to your own Claude key

Limits you can put on a grant

  • Projects: all the projects you can see, or a list you choose.
  • Expiry: the grant ends on the date you set, or when you revoke it in Settings, then Integrations.

What is recorded

Every call an agent makes is written to the audit log against the person who granted the connection, with the tool, the scope and the project. Writes are attributed the same way as if you had made them yourself.
